Whilst it is important for children to learn and have experience of using ICT, including phones, computers, games consoles, it is also important that they understand the risks involved. It is also essential that parents monitor what their children are doing online and put restrictions in place where needed.
Below are some links to websites that offer help and advice to parents and carers, with help and activities for children. One that has been highly recommended to us is
Common Sense Media. This site provides advice and guidance on many areas, not just online safety, including films and computer games. Many of the reviews are from parents and give a more relevant view about their contents. Please note that you do need to register for this site.
If you have any concerns then please come and discuss them with our Online Safety Coordinators, Mrs Bateman cbateman@trewirgieinf.tpacademytrust.org
